Am I the only person who finds themselves rarely wearing jewelry because it's hidden away in some remote jewelry box away from sight? Well here is a super easy fix I discovered that beautifully displays your jewelry, making it much easier to find pieces to wear with your everyday outfits.
All you are going to need is a some kind of plate-whatever size you want depending on how much jewelry you wish for it to hold-and a smaller bowl to place on the plate that will contain rings and earrings.
I found both my plate and bowl from a local thrift shop for a couple dollars each, so I definitely recommend doing the same. The two pieces I found weren't even part of a set, but I thought they really complimented each other in size and shape. You don't want the bowl to be too big where there isn't any room left on the plate, but at the same time you don't want the bowl too small so that the plate overwhelms the bowl. Another clever suggestion is to use an antique piece of china paired with an intricate teacup to achieve a vintage look.
The hardest part of this project is finding the plate and bowl that you will be using because the only step after that is to place the bowl at the center of the plate. Or, if you want more room at the center of the plate to put watches, bracelets, and necklaces, then you can put the bowl slightly to the left or right, as shown on the top right picture. If you want the bowl and plate to be strongly secured together so they don't move around, just add a little hot glue to the bottom of the bowl, press it down onto the plate and you're done!
No joke this is probably one of the easiest DIYs I've ever made, but I can't stress enough how often I now wear my jewelry because it is out where I can see it. Plus it serves as an adorable piece of room decor! Have fun with the customization to make it fit any room!
